Who is Stephanie Nogueras?
American actress Stephanie Nogueras was born under the zodiac sign Scorpio on 18 November 1989, in Camden, New Jersey USA. She has 13 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for her debut film role, playing the lead character Amaya in the 2018 mystery horror thriller movie “Unfriended: Dark Web”, written and directed by Stephen Susco, and which also starred Betty Gabriel and Colin Woodell. It follows a teenager who’s found a new laptop, while he’s now discovered that the laptop’s previous owner is searching for him.

Early life and education
Stephanie was born profoundly deaf, and was raised by her hearing parents in Frederick, Maryland; not many details have been shared about her mother and father, but it’s known that the family learned sign language together because of Stephanie. It remains unknown whether or not she has siblings as she hasn’t spoken about the matter.
Stephanie was interested in a couple of activities during her teenage years, while she was perhaps mostly into playing various sports with her peers, excelling in soccer. Some of the other activities in which Stephanie enjoyed taking part include running track, appearing in school plays and practicing creative writing.
She matriculated in 2008 and then enrolled at Rochester Institute of Technology, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences degree in 2012.
Prior to focusing solely on acting, Stephanie taught American Sign Language to deaf people.

Roles in TV series
Stephanie’s debut TV series role was playing Elly Mahario in the 2013 episode “One Night Stand” of the crime fantasy “Grimm”, and from 2013 through 2017, she portrayed Natalie Pierce in 23 episodes of the romantic family drama “Switched at Birth”, created by Lizzy Weiss, and which starred Constance Marie, Vanessa Marano and Katie Leclerc. It follows two girls who’ve discovered that they were switched at birth, and the series won nine of the 33 awards for which it was nominated.
The year 2018 saw Stephanie appear in an episode of three TV series: the romantic drama “Love Daily”, the fantasy mystery “The Magicians” and the crime mystery “Criminal Minds”. In 2021, she portrayed Victoria in two episodes of the drama “The Myth of Control”, created by Sana Soni and Mikail Chowdhury, and which starred Doris Morgado, Olivia Haller and Fay Hauser; it follows the lives of a group of young adults.

Also in 2021, she played Isabel Rivi in three episodes of the crime drama “The Good Fight”, created by Robert King and Michelle King, and which starred Nyambi Nyambi, Sarah Steele and Christine Baranski. It follows Diane Lockhart who’s lost all her life savings, the series aired from 2017 through 2022, and won seven of its 91 award nominations.
The year 2023 saw Stephanie play Ava in the episode “Ava’s Story” of the crime drama “Accused”, and her only other TV series role has been portraying Camille in 13 episodes of the comedy series “Killing It”, created by Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici, and which stars Rell Battle, Claudia O’Doherty and Craig Robinson. It follows a man’s quest to achieve the American dream, the series has been airing since 2022, and was nominated for a 2023 Satellite Award for Best Actor in a Series, Comedy or Musical (Craig Robinson).

Roles in movies
In 2019, Stephanie played Carly, one of the main characters in the short romantic drama “Things That Fall”, written and directed by Sy Huq, and which also starred Blake Robbins and Sterling Beaumon. It follows the life of a college student who’s suffering from schizophrenia, and won eight of its 19 award nominations.
In 2021, Stephanie starred as Victoria in the short drama “Aimee Victoria”, directed by Chrystee Pharris, and which also starred Natasha Ofili and Doris Morgado; it follows the love between two deaf women.
Stephanie’s only other role has been playing the lead character Anita in the 2021 short fantasy thriller “American Diablo”, written and directed by Juan Carlos Castaneda, and which also starred Jimmy Jean-Louis and Adebiyi Ojutiku; it follows a deaf Latina who’s turned to a life of crime.

Stephanie worked as a dialogue coach and ASL consultant on the 2021 drama movie “Disfluency”, which Anna Baumgarten wrote and directed, and which starred Chelsea Alden, Ariela Barer and Dylan Arnold. It follows Jane as she’s coping with failing her final college class, and the film won five of its 11 award nominations.
Love life and relationships
Stephanie doesn’t usually talk about her love life in interviews but it’s widely known that she’s today married to American non-celebrity Krystof.
The two exchanged vows in a small and private ceremony on 5 March 2022; it remains unknown for how long they’d previously been together, but it’s widely believed that Stephanie and Krystof met in the summer of 2020.
On 13 November 2022, Stephanie gave birth to their daughter Luna.
