Who is Jen Hale?
The New Orleans, Louisiana USA native is a former Louisiana State University (LSU) cheerleader and Homecoming Queen, an author, and now a successful and prosperous sportscaster, Jennifer ‘Jen’ Hale was born under the zodiac sign of Pisces on 28 February 1978; she holds American nationality and her ethnicity is White. She is perhaps known best for her work for Fox Sports, and as a National Football League (NFL) sideline reporter, alongside Daryl Johnston and Chris Myers.

Early life and education
Jen was raised in Alabama, USA by her parents, however, she prefers to keep her private life away from the media’s attention, thus she hasn’t shared much information about her childhood, parents, and siblings such as their names and professions.
She attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1996, she enrolled at Louisiana State University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2000, and then her Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
Jen worked as an intern for the Cable News Network (CNN) in the Washington DC bureau, and spent some time in Germany to study the relationship between the US and Germany after the fall of Communism.

Career
Jen started her career as a journalist for KNOE-TV in Monroe, Louisiana, covering politics, and then she worked as a capitol correspondent in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, before her job for WAFB TV, in Baton Rouge.
She moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where she worked as a weekend anchor for WVTV, and during her time there, she wrote a book entitled “Historic Plantations of Alabama’s Black Belt” in 2009.
In the following years, Jane worked as an anchor on WVUE-DT’s morning show, in New Orleans, when she received a call from her college fellow to interview special guests and former athletes at LSU football games, which lead to her work with the New Orleans Saints, a professional American Football team, and people from the Saints recommended Jen to Fox Sports.
She joined the National Football League on Fox, in 2011, and the following year, she started working as a sideline reporter for New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
During her work for Fox NFL, Fox Sports, and Fox Sports Southwest, Jen covered premier players for both sports during their largest events, such as the Super Bowl, All-Star Weekend, and the NBA Playoffs.
Additionally, she started working as a host for “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed”, an entertainment and sports talk show, alongside Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe.
Currently, Jen is a regular American Football contributor on Fox & Friends Weekend, plus covering the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans, the WKC Agility Championship, and the Westminster Kennel Club Best in Show.

During her career, for her sports and news coverage, Jen has won multiple Emmy Awards, an Associated Press Award, and one of the most prestigious news awards, the Edward R. Murrow Award. In 2018, Jen was awarded The Fund for American Studies Alumni Achievement Award, and in 2020, she won the Bob Roesler Award, and is the first female to receive the New Orleans Touchdown Club award.
Jen was named a Top Female Achiever in 2015 by New Orleans Magazine, and in the following year, the Gambit Magazine selected her for the Top 40 under 40 list.

She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization All Access Sideline Pass, which is focused on empowering and educating young women in her hometown community through scholarships, seminars, and outreaches.

Health issues
In 2016, Jen was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, and had to wear a portable defibrillator until medication helped her heart rate return to normal, and since then, she’s worked with the American Heart Association, using her voice and social media platforms to help others who may be in similar scenarios.

For the magazine People, she has spoken about her disease and how it affected her, saying: ‘One of my big inspirations to get involved with the American Heart Association is — it just struck me and my family, how vastly different the outcome for me was with the same condition my dad and uncle had 20 years ago, when they had no treatment options.’
She added that talking about the medical history of your family could help in diagnosis and that although she never smoked, nor drank alcohol, and led a very healthy lifestyle, her heart almost stopped because of an hereditary disease.

There have been various rumors concerning Jen’s love life and her sexual orientation, however, she hasn’t spoken about her relationships, preferring to keep her personal matters a secret.
Rumors about her sexual orientation started circulating the internet when it was questioned why there is no photo of her with any man whom she has been with, which led to assumptions that she might be lesbian. However, it seems that this was a big misunderstanding, since there is a woman with the same name who is a voice actress, and who voiced the lesbian character in a video game.
Some rumors were saying that she’s in a relationship with a man named Bently Graham, and back in 2019, she often shared photos featuring the two of them on her Instagram account, however, she hasn’t confirmed if he is her boyfriend, or just a close friend.
